The unusual suspects...

Below are a few of the people I feel privileged to call my friends, they're all truly great, you couldn't find a better bunch of pals :-)

If you look on their sites and find any of the photo's that make me look like a looney I shall simply claim I was, uh, drugged by er, Republicans. Yeah, alien Republicans from Mars...

Laura A friend of mine currently residing in one of my favourite cities, Chicago. How would I describe Laura? Brains, looks, charm, and an infectious laugh, unleashed from behind a beautiful smile. She has impeccable taste (ie. we like many of the same things: anime, rollerblading - well she 'blades, I fall on my ass a lot, nanotech, and much much more.)

Alex I used to work with this chap back at Earthlight and a pretty damn good Sysadmin he is too. He's also a devoted Dad and husband with a great sense of humour. His web design style could be called, um, "functional minimalisim".

Joe Joe and I used to work together at Earthlight, Joe being our resident programmer. Fluent in a great many (programming) languages, I believe Python is his favourite.

Paul A pal from Dunedin. He was living in Melbourne then he moved to Sydney, now he's back in Melbourne. A very talented web geek/graphic designer, storyboard artist and generally all-round artsy dude.
If (on the off chance) George Lucas is reading this - call Paul. He'd sell his soul to work on Star Wars.

Hyram Owner of the finest guitar store in Dunedin (and possibly The World), Twangtown.

Adam Co-founder of Earthlight, along with his dad (and one of the people who I should really listen too more often), Brett.
Adam also co-founded Personal Telco Project in Portland, Oregon. At the moment he works with Weta.

Daniel Joined the team at Earthlight fresh from high school and quickly became the perfect Sysadmin - maniacal, mildy psychotic and caffeine addicted. Shame he can't spell. So of course I had to recommend the next company I worked for, headhunt him to work for them. Which they did. I would own his soul for this, but I think he auctioned it on eBay.
Dan and his wife Jenny now live here in the UK too (and doing a damn fine job of it too...)

Tim After Daniel started working at Earthlight all these sundry geeks from his life came with him. I like Tim. Tim is cool. I really wish Tim had got the girl (he knows who I mean). An excellent friend who would give you the shirt off his back. I believe he has a bright future ahead as an I.T. professional.
If you're hiring I can't reccomend him highly enough and he's just finished a stint at Weta Digital.

Peter and Lyall also came in the package from Daniel's life.

Joel Ok, at Joel's request I have put up a link to the Burton/Harvey/Lomases family website - under protest that it is heinously out of date! ;-)
I did mention that Joel could set up his own sub-domain (or simply a sub-directory) and have his own site - he responed that it seemed like too much hard work.
I rest my case.

Of course, like a gangsta rapper at an awards ceremony thanking Jesus for everthing, there are so many other's I could mention, but they haven't website's yet. So I can't. (BTW if y'all have a site and I don't have it here, inform me and I shall link it forthwith.)
